"Hide", the new single by Antwerp and Hamburg-based dream-pop duo THE DAY, is the third glimpse already into the band's sophomore album "The Kids Are Alright".

With its itchy guitars and its slightly bent 90s Indie vibe, the track ties in with the band's earlier single "Empty." But the tracks are also connected in terms of their lyrics. The Day elaborate:

"The most influential people in the world rather hide than use their power and their possibilities to deal with what really matters. And with what needs our full attention right now. Before it's too late. We are running out of time!"

Instead, things get relativized or glossed over. Or simply, lies are told. We lie to ourselves. The Day add:

"In the lyrics we have intentionally used 'we', because this concerns us all. We are all human beings, we may even be those we don't want to be. We ask ourselves who we are, and who we want to be. And what we can do."
